79, Topeka, passed away May 9, 2004. He was born December 9, 1924 in Leonardville, KS the son F. Rudolph and Elizabeth Peterson. He graduated from Clay Center High School in 1942. Donald served in the US Navy during World War II in the Naval Intelligence Department. He attended Denver University. He was employed by JC Penny Company and retired as retail manager. Donald and his wife Mary Lee owned and operated Judy's Children's Clothing in Manhattan, KS.
He was married to Mary Lee Sterrett on April 19, 1944 in Belleville, KS, She survives;
Other survivors: One Son : Robert A. and wife Brenda, Meriden, KS
One Sister: Marie Cundiff Junction City, KS
Three grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. Private Graveside servicves will be held at Idana Cemetry. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice. Penwell- Gabel Midtown Chapel is in charge of arrangments. On-line condolences may be made at www.penwellgabel.com
