Donald D. Werst, 72, Topeka, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at a local care center.
Don was born July 10, 1936 in Ozawkie, the son of Christopher and Clara (Webster) Werst.
He had worked at Burgess Used Cars.
Survivors include son, Richard Dean Werst, Topeka; granddaughter, Molly Lynn Werst; and sister, Wilma I. Freeman, Topeka. He was preceded in death by sisters, Zelma Weber, Fern Collins; and son, Russell Lee Werst.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Ozawkie Cemetery. Don will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas, 2900-H SW Oakley, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
