Don Yu Mah

Don Yu Mah, 77, of Topeka, died Thursday, September 16, 2004 at a Topeka hospital. He was born on September 14, 1927 in Tai-Shan, Canton, Guongdong, China the son of Fonk Moo and Shiu Wah Mah. Mr. Mah immagrated to Topeka from China with his wife Liu Si Mah in 1983. He retired as a cook at the House of Lo Restaurant with his wife. She preceded him in death on June 21, 2000. He was also preceded in death by his father and brother, Don F. Mah. Survivors include his mother, Shiu W. Mah, one brother, Michael Mah, two sons, Xi Jian Mah and Xi Qiang Mah, both of Topeka, three daughters, Xiao Juan He of Topeka, Xiu Juan Ma & Li Juan Ma, both of China and nine grandchildren. Graveside Services at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery. Burial will follow. Mr. Mah will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
