Diane Senne

April 20, 1942 — January 31, 2022

Diane Carol Senne, 79, of Lawrence, KS passed away Monday January 31, 2022 after a long illness. She was born April 20, 1942, in Topeka, KS, the only child of Henry and Charlene (Addis) Flott.

She was a graduate of Topeka High School, class of 1960 and received a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Kansas in 1981.Diane felt going back to college at the age of 37 and graduating was one of her greatest accomplishments. Diane was a State Farm Insurance Agent in Lawrence, Ks for over 20 years. She retired in August 2005. Diane thoroughly enjoyed her career and loved her State Farm family.

Diane married Scott Senne. They later divorced. Survivors include her daughter, Dana Byers, Lawrence, KS; 2 grandchildren, Evan Byers, Lawrence, KS and Quinn Byers, Kansas City, MO. Being "Mamaw" to Evan and Quinn was Diane's greatest joy in life.

Diane enjoyed KU sports and traveling. She had the opportunity to travel to many exciting places with both, her State Farm family, and her friends. The best trip being traveling Route 66 with her friend Janice Kivett. Diane's passion for style will be her legacy to family and friends. Her love of interior design, jewelry, clothes and shoes inspired her daughter and grandchildren to explore and pursue their interests that will provide lifelong joy and careers.
She was preceded in death by both parents.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 February 9, 2022 at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, KS.
