Diane M. Roach

Diane M. Roach, 63, of Topeka, passed away on June 22, 2011. She was born April 20, 1948, in Topeka, the daughter of James Howard and Cecile Rita Gamache Hendricks. Diane was a 1966 graduate of Hayden High School and attended Washburn University after graduation. She later married Richard D. Hoover in Topeka, KS. He preceded her in death in 1977.

Diane was an intelligent, quick witted, loving person who enjoyed helping others. She was a devout Catholic, who was very passionate about her faith. Diane very much enjoyed the beach, loved having fun, and spending time with friends and family. She especially loved her granddaughter, Madeline.

Survivors include significant other, Jim Maag; children, Shelly (Warren) Hoover-Plonk and Christopher Shawn Hoover; sisters, Bunny (Sam) Bolton, Shirley (Robin) Smith, and Mary Jane (Dave) Pore; and eight nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2011 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Diane's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
