Devin Kimberly Brungardt
Devin Kimberly Brungardt, 15, Auburn, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007 as a result of an automobile accident in Osage County Saturday evening.
She was born Jan. 17, 1992 in Great Bend, the daughter of Steven Paul and Deborah Sue Ballard Brungardt. She was a ninth grader at Washburn Rural High School.
Devin was involved in church activities, loved to write poetry, and loved swimming, fishing, and music.
Survivors include her mother, Deborah Sue Ballard and partner, Tasha Henderson of the home; her father, Steven Paul Brungardt and wife, Charmaine of Harrisonville, MO; two sisters, Ashton Brungardt and Alexis Brungardt, both of the home; grandparents, Art and Sue Jaske of Great Bend and Ann Brungardt of Oakley; a step-brother, Donovan Ferretti and a step-sister, Heather Ferretti, both of Harrisonville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Edwin J. Brungardt and Charles Richard Ballard.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Devin Brungardt Memorial Fund and sent in care of the funeral home.
