Detryck T Franklin, born in Topeka Kansas on February 13, 1991, was taken from us on January 22, 2017.
Born to Tami Daniels and Terry Franklin. Detryck was blessed to have dual families; Tami Daniels and Gerald Henderson, Terry & Mona Franklin.
Detryck grew up in Lawrence Kansas with Terry & Mona Franklin and attended the Lawrence Wesleyan Church. He attended Broken Arrow grade school while in Lawrence, then attended Indian Hills Grade school once he moved to Topeka. He then attended Washburn Rural Middle school and later graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 2009. He went on to attended Emporia State and Johnson County Community College
Detryck enjoyed playing pool, boxing, Dallas Cowboys football, video games and he loved to cook and spend time with his family. Detryck had a wonderful sense of humor, while being soft spoken and witty. He had a huge heart and genuine caring for others. Detryck started working when he was 16 yrs old and continued to work as a journeyman in different customer service industries.
Detryck's siblings include Marcus Tolbert, Mackenzie Hustead-Franklin, Santino Franklin, Cherelle. Henderson, Jerell Henderson, Jerad Henderson and Markell Rice. He has devoted aunts, Lashonda Daniels and Lesa Franklin. Devoted uncles Donnie Daniels & Will Henderson, as well as devoted grandparents Ozell Calvert, William & Linda Henderson and Ruth Townsend. Detryck has extended families in South Dakota, Paris Texas, Tennessee, California, and Oklahoma.
Children of Detryck include; Oldest son, Bryson T. Franklin (4yrs) born to Alex Weber; Kaidyn Franklin (2 yrs), Dayton Franklin (10 Months) and unborn daughter Tamyia with his fiancée Pauline DuBray.
Detryck was preceded in death by his great grandmother Virginia Nash and great-great grandfather Clemon Henderson Sr.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 30, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 S.W. 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604.
Memorial contributions for the Franklin family may be made to the Detryck T. Franklin Memorial Fund sent in care of Azura Credit Union or for the Daniels, Henderson and Rice families, the Detryck T. Franklin Memorial Fund sent in care of Blue Cross/Blue Shield Credit Union.
