D."Gene" Obley, 77, of Topeka, passed away, Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004 at St. Francis Hospital.
He was married to Eula Mae Davis. She preceded him in death April 19, 1989. He was also preceded in death by his brother Victor Dean Obley. Survivors include: One daughter, Sally J. Obley, Topeka; one son, Dwight Obley, Topeka; one sister, Chloe Jane Woods, three grandsons, one granddaughter and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be held 9:00 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2004 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Obley will lie in state after 8:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the American Lung Association, 4300 SW Drury Lane, Topeka, KS 66604-2419.
