Denise E. Crumpton, 45, Topeka, passed away Sat., July 26, 2008, at her residence after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Denise was born in Hutchinson, KS on June 28, 1963, the daughter of the late Harold D. and Betty J. Smith.
Denise Elaine Nesbitt married Kim Carl Crumpton on October 12, 1990. They had four children, Nicole Nesbitt, Tosha Lawson, Jessica Crumpton and Jeremy Crumpton all of Topeka.
She was co-owner and office manager of Tee-Town Printers.
Survivors include her husband, Kim; 4 children; 2 sisters: Brenda Dowdy and Pam Hanna; foster parents, Marilyn and Art Reece; foster brothers: Chriss Reece and Ken Reece; foster sisters: Barb Allen, Tammy Miller and Martha Demler; 6 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Dale and foster brother, Mike Reece.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tues., July 29 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Denise will lie in state after 4 p.m. today where family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Denise E. Crumpton in C/O Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66604.
