Denalda "Dee" Bayless, 89, of Valley Falls, previously of Carbondale, KS passed away peacefully Saturday, February 15th 2014 at Midland Hospice.
Mrs. Bayless was born September 18th, 1924 in Redfield, South Dakota, the daughter of Gus and Nellie Hollander. She married Harvey "Sam" Bayless, on September 20th, 1942 in Aurora, Colorado; he preceded her in death in December of 2004.
Dee worked for Kwik Shop for 14 years before retiring. Dee and Sam enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and were quite the dancing pair on any given Saturday night. She volunteered at the Clothes closet and at the Valley Falls Historical Society.
Survivors include her daughter, Melodee Lines, Valley Falls; granddaughter, Christen North, and great grandchildren Sydney North, Austin, and Evan all of Topeka, Kansas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews for whom she thought the world of.
Mrs. Bayless was cremated. Services will be February 18th, 2014 at 1:00p.m. at Valley Falls Christian Church, 511 Oak Street, Valley Falls KS.
