Delores Banks, 67, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006.
Delores was born March 17th, 1939 in Bern, KS, the daughter of Gottlieb and Delphia Hinton. She graduated from Fairview Rural High School in Fairview, KS in 1957.
She married Jim Banks on August 17, 1958 in Fairview. He survives. They have three children, James R. Banks, Jr., Cindy Banks, and Lisa Decker.
Delores retired in March of 2000 from Sprint as a Customer Service Rep. She was a member of Crestview United Methodist Church and Joy Circle of the U.M.W.
Other survivors include her grandchildren, J.R. Hladky, Tamsy Banks, Tanner Banks, and Cody Decker, her mother, Delphia, and one brother, Gene Hinton. She was preceded in death by her father, Gottlieb, sister, Glenda Barben, and her grandson, Dalton Decker.
A memorial service for Delores will be at 10:00 a.m.,Wednesday at Crestview United Methodist Church. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to Crestview United Methodist Church,2245 SW Eveningside Drive, Topeka, KS 66614 or to Midland Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606. Arrangements are with Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
