DeLores I. Anderson, 73, of Topeka, passed away, Friday, November 3, 2006 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
She was born September 10, 1933 in Wellsville, Kansas the daughter of Irvin and Dorothy (Smith) Horst.
She moved to Topeka in 1953, Arizona in 1996 and returned to Topeka in 2005. She was a member of Wakarusa Presbyterian Church.
DeLores was a homemaker. She was a caring, compassionate, selfless mother who loved her family and animals.
She married Glen I. Anderson September 10, 1949 in Chanute, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include four sons, Steve Anderson, Mission, KS; Dave Anderson, Cave Creek, AZ; Jett Anderson, Scottsdale, AZ; Jason Anderson, Lawrence, KS; one daughter, Dana Mondon, Columbus, OH; one sister, LaVera Simmons, Ottawa, KS; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her brother Glenn Horst.
Mrs. Anderson will lie in state after 2:00 pm. Tuesday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will greet friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. that evening. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th St, Topeka. There will be no funeral procession. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Susan G.
