Delmar H. Peters, 77, of Topeka, passed away, Thursday, November 4, 2004 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
He was born January 29, 1927 at Kimball, MN the son of Robert and Ella Peters.
Mr. Peters served 29 years in the United States Army retiring at the rank of Command Sergeant Major.
He was married to Helga Kober. She preceded him in death. Survivors include: his longtime companion, Evelyn Shoaf, Topeka, five sons, Gerald Peters, Germany; Thomas Peters, Sierra Vista, AZ; Bernard Peters, Yorktown, VA; Dennis Peters, Topeka; Christopher Peters, Blue Springs, MO; four daughters, Patricia Nichols, Topeka; Nancy Peters, Pennsylvania; Christine Ertl, Salida, CO; Michelle Wilkinson, Grapevine, TX; one brother, Harold Peters, MN, 17 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. Graveside services with full military honors will be held 11:00am Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at Sunrise Cemetery, Manhattan, Kansas. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.penwellgabel.com.
