Delilah Bennett, 90, passed away December 25, 2016 at Bonner Springs Nursing Rehabilitation in Bonner Springs, KS. She was born July 10, 1926 in Fontana, Kansas to Merle and Esther Christeson. She was married to Harold Bennett January 26, 1945; they had many happy years together until his passing in April 1988. She worked as a bakery manager for Dibbles grocery for 20 years until retiring.
She is survived by her daughter, Dee Macey and husband, Steve, Edwardsville, KS; granddaughter, Michelle Hill and husband Dave, Leavenworth, KS, their children, Drayton Hill, stationed at Fort Hood, TX and daughter Madison Hill, Leavenworth; granddaughter, Shana Flack and her daughter, Rebekkah Granger, Kansas City, KS; grandson, Matthew Macey, Edwardsville, KS and his children, Amberlynn and Jacob Macey of Overland Park, KS. Also surviving, sister, Jo Maley, Garnett, KS; Chuck Christeson and "Cap" Christeson of Mason City, IA and many, many nieces and nephews.
She loved her family without limits and will be truly missed for her loving, supportive nature, sense of humor and downright feistiness.
Private family burial will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka, KS. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family.
