Delbert M. Eastman
Mr. Delbert M. Eastman, 91 of Topeka passed away Wednesday, Sept. 3,,,2003 in a local hospital. He was born in Eskridge, KS on Nov. 14, 1911 to Bert C. and Maud J. Hutchins Eastman.
Mr. Eastman graduated from Eskridge High School in 1928, and then attended Business College. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Eastman lived and worked in the western United Sates for most of his life. He was an Executive Chef for the Coronado Hotel, Wilshire Country Club, Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and the University Club, all in Southern California. Mr. Eastman was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post 0058.
In 1988 he married Hazel M. Fregoso, she survives and lives in Topeka. Other survivors include:
Step sons; Wm. C. Hogue of Topeka, KS, Richard A. Hogue of East Bridgewater, MA; step daughter, Donna L. Bobbitt of Omaha, NE; 10 step grandchildren and 18 step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 5, 2003 at 1:00 pm, in Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
