Delbert F. Neff, 98, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Aldersgate Village. He was born February 1, 1913 in Kingsville, Missouri, the son of Charles T. and Phoebe Irene (Fender) Neff.
Delbert graduated from Holden High School, Holden, MO. He also attended Kansas State University. On January 23, 1938, he married Helen E. Stevens. Delbert was a supervisor at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1976 after 45 years of service.
Delbert is survived by his daughters, Jen Ellen "Judy" Biernbaum of Denver, CO and Karen "Cookie" (Alvin) Koenig of Colby, KS; one son, Jon Neff of Evergreen, CO; three grandchildren, Steven Biernbaum of Los Alamitos, CA; Terralynn Jacobs of Florence, KY and Tom Koenig of Manhattan, KS and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and son-in-law, Larry Biernbaum.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 13 in Wesley Hall at Aldersgate Village from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
