Debra S. Wolff, 45, of Topeka passed away Thursday Feb. 9, 2006 at her home after a short illness.
She was born March 24, 1960 in Topeka, the daughter of Jack and Elda Garhan.
She was a 1978 graduate of Topeka West High School and graduated from Washburn University with a bachelor's degree in Social Work in 1983. She worked for the Topeka Blood Bank from 1983 to 1997 as a donor recruiter. She worked for Dr. Richard Darnall from 1997 to 2002 as a receptionist, and for USD 501 as a paraprofessional from 2002 to 2005. She was fond of gardening and cooking and spent most of her free time helping to raise her children.
She married James L. Wolff on August 21, 1981 in Topeka. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, James "J.P." Wolff and a daughter, Jaclyn Wolff, both of Topeka; parents Jack and Elda Garhan of Topeka; sisters Jane Duffens, Patty Puett, Mary Cooper, Susie Herron and brother Bobby Garhan, all of Topeka and a sister, Judy, O'Brien of Leawood, KS.
Mrs. Wolff will lie in state after 2:00 pm Sunday Feb. 12, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday Feb. 13, 2006 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
