Debra L. Norgaard-Pedersen, 51, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at her home. Debra was born on December 29, 1954 in McPherson, the daughter of Edward R. and Joan R. Scott Bunker. She graduated from Topeka West High School in 1973. She was employed by the Shawnee County Motor Vehicle Department until 1980. She then operated a day care business at her home until 1988. She then was employed by Laird Noller Ford as a title clerk until 1992 when she went to Dale Sharp as a business manager until 2002. She then returned to Laird Noller Lincoln Mercury as a business manager until she became ill. She was a member of Central Congregational Church and the Kansas All Terrain Vehicle Association. She volunteered at Aldersgate Village. Debra married Steven Norgaard-Pedersen on April 6, 1974 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include one son, Jared and his wife, Stacy of Topeka, one daughter, Jennifer of Topeka, one grandson, Hayden, her parents, Edward and Joan Bunker of Topeka, one sister, Lorie Wilson and her husband, Eldon of Topeka and their children, Matthew and Nicole and one brother, Scott Bunker, his children Kaitlyn and Breanna and his wife, Maggie Techara of Silver Lake, Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Central Congregational Church. Cremation will follow. Private inurnment will take place in Mount Hope Cemtery. Debra will lie in state after noon Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the KSU Cancer Center, 1 Chalmers Hall, Manhattan, KS 66506-3901.
