Debra "Debb" Sue Myers, 43, of Topeka, passed way, Monday, November 26, 2007.
She was born April 7, 1964 in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of Dewey and Nora Whalen.
"Debb" was vice president of the Friends of Hill's BarkPark and was the web master for their website. She was very involved with the Multiple Sclerosis Society. "Debb" was actively involved in several service dog organizations. She was an advocate for the rights of those covered by the ADA.
She married David R. Myers December 29, 2000 in Manhattan, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include her father, Dewey Whalen; her brother, Daniel Whalen; her nephew, David Whalen, and her service dog Boo.
Private graveside services will be at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Friends of Hill's Bark Park, P.O. Box 4947, Topeka, KS 66604. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements. To leave a message for the family online, visit www.PenwellGable.com.
