David Weyrens

David Christopher Weyrens, 19, died in an automobile accident in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on July 5, 2005.

David was born in Cleveland, Ohio May 20, 1986. He lived in Topeka, Kansas for 11 years, graduating from Topeka High School in 2004. After graduation he left Topeka to attend the NOLS outdoor leadership program in Patagonia and then to work at the American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin. Joy in living and devotion to friends and family characterized him. David loved outdoor adventure and had a gift for teaching outdoor skills. He was his brother's best friend and their laughter was the best of sounds.

David is survived by his brother Peter, 21, his parents Drs. Francis J. and Katherine G. Weyrens, and his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gwinn.

Funeral services will be at Fairlawn Heights Weslyan Church on Saturday July 9 at 11:00 am.. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials can be sent in his name to The Nature Conservancy, 4245 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203This non-profit organization is dedicated to preserving undeveloped land worldwide.
