David Todd, 73, of Maple Hill, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021.
He was born May 31, 1947, in Auburn, Kansas, the son of Charles and Nora (Rogers) Todd. He graduated from Dover High School and went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy from Kansas State University.
He joined the United States Army in 1967 and served during the Vietnam War. He received a Vietnam Service and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was honorably discharged in 1970.
He loved holding his grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening, skiing, flying, going to air shows and drinking coffee with his siblings. He would travel the country with his wife attending family members cross country and track meets.
He was a lifetime member of the Dover Federated Church. He served as a moderator, director of adult ministries, and on the board.
David married Benalea Hunter on December 9, 1973 in Auburn, Kansas, she survives.
Other survivors include his children; Christopher Todd, Andrew (Jess) Todd, Tina (Adam) Rees, and Tonia (Jesse) Presley; siblings, Margaret Ann Briant, Floyd Todd, and Philip Todd; sister-in-law Judy Todd; grandchildren, Ian, Shelbie, Jacob, Mason, Leah, Darron, James, Cora, and Colton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, Elnora Todd, brothers, Chester Todd and Arthur Todd, sister, Zelma Rathje, brother-in-laws, Elton Briant and Martin Rathje, and sister-in-law, Cleota Todd.
The family will greet friends from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the Dover Fellowship Hall, 13535 SW 57th St. Topeka, KS 66610.
A Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the Dover Federated Church, 13535 SW 57th St. Topeka, KS 66610. Interment will follow at Dover Cemetery, in Dover.
