David "Bear" Alan Rahmeier, 55, Peculiar, MO, died Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. Visitation 10:00-11:30; Memorial services 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66604. Inurnment in Penwell-Gable Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Kansas City Hospice House.
David was born August 1, 1962 in Topeka, KS, the son of Lyle Edward and Linda Kay (Laster) Rahmeier. He played football at Seaman High School in Topeka and was a 1980 graduate. He also played at Washburn University. David married Kelly Sue Yates on October 14, 1995 in Lake Tahoe, NV. They moved to Peculiar in 2011. David worked for Kaw Valley Trucking in Kansas City, KS where he drove a dump truck. He retired from Hills Pet Nutrition in Topeka after 30 years. He loved riding motorcycles, going to car races and loved watching the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs.
David was preceded in death by his father, Lyle and a sister, Lisa Marie Rahmeier. He is survived by his wife, Kelly, of the home; his mother, Kay Everitt (Roger); one daughter, Kiley Rhae Mroczynski (Skeeter), Pulaski, WI; two brothers, Jeff Rahmeier (Linda Kay), and Cary Rahmeier (Kelly), all of Topeka, KS; one grandchild, Rory Rhae; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
