David E. "Moon" Mullin, 63, Topeka, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center.
He was born Dec. 19, 1943 in Lawrence, the son of Ernest E. and Wilma Ruth Sumner Mullin.
Mr. Mullin worked for several years for Quaker Oats until retiring in 1988.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Cheryl; a son, Carey Mullin and wife, Julie, and their children, Justin and Jordan of Topeka; a daughter, Kelly Stauffer, and husband, Thane, and their children, Tanner, Taylor, and Ashton of Derby; his mother, Wilma Ruth Eliot of Topeka; a sister, Wanda Reinking and husband, Richard of Overland Park; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Ernest Enis "Bud" Mullin, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Hope Chapel with interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Mullin will lie in state from noon to 9:00 pm today at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
