David Michael Martinez

David Michael Martinez, 31, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010. He was born on February 13, 1979 in Topeka, Kansas to David Martinez and Deborah J. (Eaton) Hamm.

David graduated from Washburn Rural High School. He loved baseball and coached for SCABA for several years.

David is survived by his wife Michelle Graham-Martinez, his two sons, Triston Giovanni and Salvatore Mackaveli Martinez, both of Topeka; his father David (Suzi) Martinez of Topeka; his mother Deborah (Kevin) Hamm of Topeka; his sister Ashley (Brian) Lang; his brother Nicholas Martinez and his sister Grace Martinez, all of Topeka; his grandmother Alicia Martinez of Topeka and his grandfather Robert Eaton of Topeka; his niece Cidney Lang of Topeka; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sierra Martinez.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 3, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 2 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church with a rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
