David H. Leitch, Jr.

David H. Leitch, Jr., 83, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, July 06, 2011. David was born on February 16, 1928, in St. Louis, MO, son of David and Jane (Enloe) Leitch. Upon graduation in 1953 with his Juris Doctor from Washington University, St. Louis, MO, David engaged in the general practice of law. He was united in marriage to Jean Marie Hulka on June 28, 1958. David has been a resident of Topeka and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church since 1958. He worked in sales/advertisement at WIBW, retiring as a sales manager after 35 years of service. David was a Brother of Beta Theta Pi and Phi Delta Phi, a member of Topeka's Lincoln Club and YMCA, and a lifetime member of the Missouri Bar Association.

David is survived by his two daughters, two sons-in-law, and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, in 1969.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2011, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 901 SW Fillmore, Topeka, KS 66606. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Kansas Children's Service League, 3545 SW 5th Street, Topeka, KS 66606, American Heart Association, PO Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601, Topeka YMCA, 421 SW Van Buren Ave., Topeka, KS 66603, or St. John's Lutheran Church.
