David G. King, 50, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Colmery O'Neil VA Medical Center. He was born on July 15, 1956 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Gerald L. and Rita M. Kremer King. He graduated from O'Hara High School in Kansas City, MO. He was an Army veteran. In spite of David's disabilities, he had a good spirit and a giving heart. He is survived by siblings, Kathie King of Overland Park, Gary King and wife, Jeana of Greenwood, MO, Beverly King Pfeifauf of Paola, Steve King and wife, Jenny of Paola and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the All Faiths Chapel at the Colmery O'Neil VA Medical Center. Committal services will also be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Leavenworth National Cemetery. David will lie in state from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Contributions may be given in David's memory to Countryside Health Center, 440 S.E. Woodland, Topeka, KS 66607.
