David Lee Bailey, 59, of Topeka, passed away, Sunday, August 6, 2006 at his home.
He was born October 1, 1946 in Eskridge the son of Wyatt and Cozie Bailey.
David was a 1968 graduate of Eskridge High School. He was a sportsman and enjoyed football, basketball and the freedom riding horses afforded him. David loved to sing and was a member of the high school Glee Club, Boys Choir and Mixed Ensemble.
David was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Bertha Irene Bailey-Brown, and two brothers, Newton and Warren Bailey. Survivors include, five brothers, Wyatt, Annapolis, MD; Mark (Bill), Ventura, CA; Joe, New York, NY; Lett (Chino), Topeka; Lawrence, Manila, Philippines; three sisters, Ruth Lucksted, Azaelia Jackson, Norma Jean Bailey all of Topeka; three nieces, Ida Raimey, Topeka; Robin Benson, San Diego, CA; Yvonne Sudduth, Wetmore, KS; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 14, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
