David Allen

David Mark Allen, 57, of Topeka, passed away October 14, 2006 at a local hospital. David was born October 28, 1948 at Mt. Pleasant, IA. Son of the late Mark Allen and Vera Allen Knisley of Topeka. David was raised in New London, IA before moving to Topeka in 1957. He was a graduate of Seaman High School. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church of Topeka. David enjoyed working with his hands building model cars and yard sale shopping for those special one of kind items for the family. David is survived by his mother Vera of the home; brother Gary Allen and wife Roberta of Melvern,KS; niece, Julie Todd and husband Tracey of Lyndon, KS; nephews, Bill Lovell, Edmond, OK and Sean Lovell of Burlington, KS; and three great-nephews, Trey, Brayden, and Bryce and numerous cousins in Iowa. David will be greatly missed by family and friends. The family will receive friends for a visitation at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel in Topeka on Monday, October 16 from 5:30 - 7:00pm. On Tuesday, October 17 a visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00pm at Elliott Chapel in New London, IA. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00am Wednesday, October 18, at Elliott Chapel. Burial following in Trinity Cemetery at Mt. Union, IA. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 5375 SW 7th, Topeka, KS 66606.
