Dave Beal

November 3, 1961 — May 19, 2023

David "Dave" D. Beal, 61, of Topeka, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023.

He was born November 3, 1961, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Robert and Lois Ann (Kind) Beal. He graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1980 and continued his education at Washburn Tech, becoming a certified mechanical draftsman. He worked at HF Rubber Machinery in the engineering department as a mechanical draftsman for 26 years, and then Futamura as a mechanical draftsman.

Dave was raised on two wheels. Building, fixing, riding, and racing dirt bikes from the time he was born. After doctors told him to stay off of motorcycles, he settled for riding them in his free time, instead. He was a fearless man constantly searching for a new adventure, a new excuse to become stronger and to explore what the world has to give.

He was infallible in his faith. He knew patience with no bounds. He was quiet, until you got to know him. He was an expert at wearing a straight face and seasoned at pulling others' legs. He never took himself so seriously that he couldn't take a joke or serve one—that he couldn't have fun and take time to foster memories. He was curious and capable of laughing at himself. He was mild and thoughtful, competitive and ornery, and his adventurous spirit was contagious. He loved the people around him selflessly.

Most prominently, though, his presence served as a constant reminder to listen and observe.

He supported his family in all that he did and made sure they would know how to change a tire, change their oil, adjust a clutch, play sports, experiment with barbeque rub, ride dirt bikes, and to just have fun. He was a thoughtful friend, a pillar as an oldest brother, compassionate and patient as a dad, and immeasurably tenderhearted as a husband. His pride stemmed from the success and love from his family.

Dave married Laine Renee Troxel on May 14, 1994 in Topeka, KS. Other surviving family include his children, Bethany Dayle Beal, Rachael Layne Beal, and Noah David Beal; mother, Lois Ann Beal; sister, Ginny (Kevin) and brother, Dan (Paula) Beal. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Dale Beal. His family was and is his heart.

The family will greet friends during a visitation from 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene 730 SW Fairlawn Rd, Topeka, KS 66606. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM at the church. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka. As a tribute to Dave's love for motorcycles, ride 'em if you got 'em.

Memorial contributions may be made to Craig Foundation 3425 S. Clarkson St. Englewood, CO 80113.
