Darwin Olin Waldy, 83, of Topeka, met his Savior face to face, on July 31, 2024 at Oakley Place.
He was born on December 9, 1940 to Milton and Camilla (Kitt) Waldy in Topeka, Kansas.
Darwin worked as a salesperson, business manager, and business owner for forty nine years.
On August 21, 1960, he married Dolores Cochran. Natives of Topeka, KS, Darwin and Dolores lived in Colorado, Missouri, Wichita and Ottawa, Kansas, before settling permanently in Topeka. Darwin enjoyed boating and camping, coaching baseball, traveling with friends, and cheering on his children and grandchildren in their various endeavors.
He was a member of the Topeka Oilmen’s Association and Topeka Bible Church.
Darwin is survived by his loving wife; Dolores, sons; James (Tami) Waldy, Michael (Margaret) Waldy, and Christopher (Stacy) Waldy , eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, as well as sister, Sheryl Evers and brother, Byron (Jodi) Waldy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Milton and Camilla Waldy, and sister, Martha Kay Waldy.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 9th at Topeka Bible Church. Visitation is scheduled for 10:00 am and funeral service at 11:00 am. Services to be officiated by James Congdon, D.D.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Topeka chapter of Meals on Wheels, 2134 SW Westport Dr, Topeka, KS 66614, an organization for which Darwin and Dolores volunteered for years.
