Darrell Murphy, 53, Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at his home.
He was born June 29, 1953 in Great Bend, the son of Delbert and Lena (Rowe) Murphy.
He married Faye Howland in 1976 in Topeka. They later divorced.
Darrell was an employed of McFarland's Restaurant for 36 years as an outstanding employee, serving in multiple capacities throughout the restaurant.
He was known for his generosity and patience and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his father, Delbert Murphy, Topeka; brothers, Lawrence "Butch" Murphy, Geneseo, Dale Murphy, Allan Murphy, both of Topeka, Brian Murphy, Holton; sisters, Judy Lincoln, Englewood, Florida and Joyce Marts, Topeka. He also leaves behind his long time companion, Lisa Eiben.
A service to celebrate his life will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2007 at the Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene, 730 SW Fairlawn, Topeka. Interment will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Darrell Murphy Memorial Fund and sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
