Daniel L. Younger

Daniel Lee Younger, 70, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at a local hospital.
Dan was born November 10, 1952 in Hays, KS, the son of Walter and Alexia (Staab) Younger. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1970 and attended Washburn University.
He was a Sherman Driver in the U.S. Army stationed in Boeblingen, Germany; assigned to the First Infantry Division, 4th Cavalry.
He was employed with AT&T for 30 years, retiring in 2008.
Dan enjoyed riding his Harley and was a lifetime member of ABATE.
Dan married Deborah Varner on August 6, 1977. She survives. Other survivors include siblings, Jody Halstead, Donna Younger, Steve Younger, Charlene Soward, Matt Younger; and God child, Lyssa Troxell. He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Spencer Younger.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
Private interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
