Daniel "Eddie" Edward Manrose, 52, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022.
He was born May 29, 1969, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of William Bruce Manrose and Melody Osborne- Samuels. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1988.
Daniel had a passion for working on cars. He began his career with LKQ in Topeka after high school. He worked his way up the career ladder and was awarded the job title of Production Manager. He left LKQ and worked for Ed Bozarth for ten years as a Service Advisor. In 2019, he left Ed Bozarth to work at Platinum Auto Plaza as a Director of Mechanical Services and Repair.
He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a proud father and PaPa and loved supporting all of his grandchildren with their sporting and school activities. He would take his girls on shopping trips. Daniel loved the holidays and his favorites were 4th of July and Christmas. He enjoyed smoking BBQ, watching Chiefs football and KU basketball games, has an extensive Snow White collection and loved Disney movies. His family remembers him as a very caring and giving man. He was a handy man and could fix nearly anything.
Daniel is survived by children, Christopher "Scott" (Ashley) Manrose, Danny Manrose, Shianna (Burrell) Roper, Devin Manrose, and Tiffany Manrose; grandchildren, Anthony, Savannah, Cole, Winter, Daniel III, Caiden, Sage, Bellatrix, and Everleigh; his parents, Melody (Steven) and Bruce (Diane); two brothers, Randy and Jason Manrose; one sister, Janelle Manrose; niece and nephews, Emma, Ethan, and Evan; and one uncle, Dan (Pam) Osborne. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ulysses E. and Emma Osborne; paternal grandparents, William "Bill" and Ruth Manrose and nephew, Codey Michael Manrose.
His family will greet friends from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, Kansas. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:00 am., Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Penwell Gabel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Papa Manrose Educational Fund and sent in care of Penwell Gabel Funeral Home.
