Daniel (Dan) Hamer, 79, of Topeka, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018.
He was born August 25, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Theodore and Bertha (Grundberg) Hamer.
Dan worked at Logan Business as a customer service representative. He previously worked at the Kansas Lottery and Kansas Racing Commission.
Dan married Claudia Sicklesteel on September 21, 1991 in Topeka, KS.
Survivors include wife, Claudia; children, Cheryl (Clyde), Daniel, Jr., Jeff (Sara), Michael (Katie), Jennifer; brother, John (Joyce); grandchildren, Aidan, Emily, Olivia, Hannah and McCormick .
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Theodore, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am., Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue , Topeka. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment of the cremated remains will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
