Dan Mckee

Dan W. McKee, 56, Topeka died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at his home. He was born Feb. 5, 1949 in Onaga, Kansas, the son of William B. and Mary Moody McKee.
Dan married Bonnie Hall they divorced and Diana Johnson they divorced.
He graduated from Topeka West High School and Washburn University with a degree in Political Science. He served in the U.S. Army. He volunteered his time to the Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Topeka. He worked for the Kansas Corporation Commission for 17 years. In his free time Dan enjoyed golfing, spending time outdoors and with friends and family.
He is survived by his mother, Mary McKee, Topeka; a daughter Heather Wiechman and her husband Brian, Olathe; three sons, Erik McKee, Andy McKee and Darin McKee all of Topeka; one brother, David McKee, Manhattan; two sisters Dorothy Ratterree, Topeka; Debbie Brown, Auburn; and grandson, Brody Wiechman, Olathe and a host of family and friends.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by a funeral detail from Ft. Riley.
Mr. McKee will lie in state from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
