Dale B. Liby, 88, of Topeka, passed away on December 12, 2024 at 8:55 am in his home.
He was born on October 4, 1936 to William and Marjorie (Bull) Liby in Ottawa County, Kansas.
Dale served in the United States Navy during 1954-1957 as a machinist MM2 and later worked as an Electronics technician for 37 years.
On May 24, 1958, he married the love of his life; Marian E. Taylor. Dale and Marian were married for 66+ wonderful years, filled with love and sharing. They adopted their two children in the 60’s; Son, David and Daughter, Marcia. Dale and his family enjoyed going on missions trips. They lived and traveled in many states throughout the years, finally settling in Topeka, KS in the early 80’s.
He was a member of Western Hills Church in Topeka, KS for over 30 years and proudly served faithfully.
Dale is survived by his loving wife; Marian, son; David Liby (Dawn), daughter; Marcia Hogan (Frank), brother; Gary Liby (Betty); and is blessed with many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marjorie Liby; and Grandchild, Jennifer Armstrong.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, Kansas 66604.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, 10:00 am at the Western Hills Church, 2900 SW Auburn Rd, Topeka, KS 66614, with Pastor Grant English, officiating.
Graveside Service will take place on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, 11:00 am in the Memorial Park Cemetery with the United States Navy and American Legion Post 400 giving military honors.
Memorials are suggested to the Western Hills Church.
