Dale E. Flynn, 54, of Topeka, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019.
He was born October 27, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of James Lawrence Flynn Jr. and Annie Shipp.
He worked in construction for 38 years.
He was known as a wonderful father, being very involved with his children's lives as well as his grandkids' lives; even serving as his children's coach when they were little on both the softball and baseball league. He was a hard worker in whatever crossed his path. He had a love for motorcycles and listening to Bob Seger and the Eagles.
Dale married Susan Schreiner on September 13, 1986, they later divorced. Other survivors include his children; Megan (Matthew) Chavez, Cory (Samantha) Flynn and Katlyn Flynn; siblings, Sherian Ackley, Marie Brumley, Linda Avalos, Jeanine Cherry, James Flynn III., Jerry Flynn, Michael Flynn, Gerald VonPertz Jr., Janice Frei, Robert Price, Parm Price; grandchildren, Mason Chavez, McKinley Chavez, Cory Flynn Jr. and Miracle Pressler. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Greg Brumley; and sister, Julie Richter.
A Celebration of Dale's Life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2700 SE Virginia, Topeka. The family will receive friends during visitation one hour prior to the service.
