Dale E. Marsh, 68, Topeka, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011 at a local hospital.
Dale was born October 10, 1943 in Topeka, the son of Dale and Laura (Richards) Marsh. He graduated from Highland Park High School and attended Washburn University.
He served in the Marine Corps for 6 years during the Vietnam War.
He was a police officer with the Topeka Police Department retiring in 1996 after 20 years of service. He later worked as a dispatcher for the Washburn University Police. He retired in December, 2010. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police in Topeka.
Dale married Dawn Carey on July 21, 1967 in Croom, MD. She survives. Other survivors include daughters, Diana Marsh and Debbie Marsh, both of Topeka; and sister, Kathy Jo Burgett, San Jose, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
