Daisy Marie Wenger was born September 27, 1933, to Raymond and Ethel Hawley at Corning, Kansas and spent her youth in Goff, Kansas.
Daisy is survived by her daughters Debra Oakley (Wes) of Topeka, Kathryn Harding (Brad) of Lenexa, Kansas, nine grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren and sister Dorothy Edwards (Bill) of Arvada, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Betty Hamilton, Louise Hamilton, brother Raymond Hawley and sister Martha Reeves.
Daisy was a homemaker until Debbie and Kathy were older when she became employed by Claymar Wholesale Carpeting as an accounting clerk for 23 years, retiring in 1993.
Daisy enjoyed fishing, camping, water skiing, and golf. She loved watching sports with her husband Clayton, especially the Royals, Chiefs, and KU basketball. Daisy learned the art of quilting from her mother-in-law Tillie Wenger. She was an excellent seamstress and quilt maker something her daughter Kathy now enjoys.
Daisy and her husband Clayton were long-time member of Town and Country Christian Church, Topeka, Kansas.
The family will greet friends starting at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Ceremony will follow at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Town and Country Christian Church, 4925 SW 29th Street, Topeka. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Topeka.
