Daniel Ronald Musser
D. Ronald Musser, 92, long time
Topeka resident, died Wednesday
July 16, 2003, at the Aldersgate
Village care facility.
He was born January 5, 1911, at
Jewell, Kansas, youngest child of
William Lloyd and Emma E. Musser.
Ronald graduated from Jewell
High School in 1928. He attended
Kansas State University where
he achieved a BS Degree in 1932
and a MS Degree in 1933.
He served in the U. S. Army
from May 1942 - Nov. 1945 and
was deployed for 37.5 months
in Europe during WW II.
Upon his return from Europe
attended Kansas State University
& achieved 2nd BS Degree in 1947.
He married Olive C. Pitman
on July 2, 1946, in Winfield,
Kansas. She survives.
Ronald began his Federal work
career with Farm Security Admin.
in Atwood, Kansas, and retired
Chief, Farmer Programs-Kansas,
Farmers Home Administration
US Dept. of Agriculture in 1974.
He had a 35-year Federal career.
He was a member of Lowman
United Methodist Church since
1956, Kansas Society of Farm
Managers and Rural Appraisers,
N.A.R.F.E., and Kiwanis Club of
West Topeka. He was active in
numerous community programs.
Most importantly - Ronald was
a devoted and loving husband,
father, uncle and grandfather and
he is greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife
of 57 years, Olive, a son Ron
Musser, and his wife, Rowena,
Vancouver, Wash., and three
grandchildren: Brett Thomas,
Kaley Ann and Nicole Corinne.
Funeral service will be 1:30
p.m. Tuesday at Lowman United
Methodist Church. Private family
graveside service will follow at
Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mr. Musser
will lie in state Monday after
2:00 p.m., Penwell-Gabel Mid-town
Chapel.
