Curtis Jay Braum, 40, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2017 at the Kansas Neurological Institute Medical Unit after a courageous fight with cancer. He was a resident at KNI beginning December of 1987.
Curtis was born June 17, 1976 in Atchison, KS, the son of Sally Cook Braum and Dr. Roy Braum.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilbur and Anna Marie Braum and George and Florine Cook, an Uncle, Elwin Carter, and a cousin, Mark Cook.
Curtis is survived by his parents, three aunts; Marilyn Carter, Joanne Braum and Nancy (Russell) Chapman and two uncles; Bob (Kathy) Cook and Jon (Solange) Cook and several cousins.
A funeral ceremony will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. The family will greet friends for half an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Denison Cemetery, Denison, KS.
