Craig Vering
Craig E. Vering, 49, Topeka, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004 at his home.
He was born Jan. 2, 1955 in Wichita, the son of James E. and Mary Belle Prewett Vering. He was a lifelong Kansas resident, graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School, and had lived in Topeka for 12 years.
Mr. Vering worked for AT&T for 27 years. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 25 years.
He married Ronette Jeffries on Aug. 4, 1979 at Russell. She survives.
Other survivors include 3 daughters, Kirra Vering, age 21, Aileen Vering, age 20, and Teslyn Vering, age 11, all of Topeka; his mother, Mary Belle Miller of Linn Valley, KS; 3 sisters, Michelle Pappas of Overland Park, Rebecca Vering of Daytona Beach, FL, Jennifer Farleigh of Olathe, and a brother, Eric Vering of Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Vering, a brother, Bradley Vering, and twin daughters.
Memorial services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Graveside services will be 2:30 pm at Prairie Home Cemetery.
