Craig Stephen Browning, 51, passed away January 14, 2010 unexpectedly at his home in Topeka. Cause of death was heart failure.
He was born on July 14, 1958 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, the son of James D. and Wanda (Wyrwa) Browning. Craig grew up in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, graduating from Lakeview High School, and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He had been a resident of Topeka for nearly a dozen years. Craig enjoyed reading, and loved fishing and canoeing throughout his life. He enjoyed music, attending concerts and occasionally being invited backstage to greet the performers. Craig liked helping people, and was often a volunteer for several organizations.
Craig is survived by his father, James; brother, Paul Browning, Lake Ann, Michigan; sister Susan Browning-Luttrell (Bruce), Western Springs, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Annie, Eli, Jack and Miles.
He was preceded in death by his mother Wanda.
Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Rolling Hills Cemetery, Winter Haven, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
