Craig L. Westerdale, 57, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011 at his home. He was born August 30, 1954 in Topeka, the son of Loren and Barbara Watson Westerdale.
He graduated from Topeka High School. Craig was a member of the Kansas Army National Guard. He retired from Stormont-Vail Hospital and was employed by USD 501. Craig was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and the Kaw Valley Bicycle Club.
Survivors include his father, Loren (Darleene) Westerdale of Topeka, two brothers, Loren (Chris) Westerdale, Jr. of Burlingame, Mark Westerdale, Sr. of Topeka and his sister, Eilene (Jim) Wason of Topeka. Craig was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Jon Westerdale.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Hope Cemetery. Craig will lie in state from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Topeka Rescue Mission, 600 N. Kansas Ave., Topeka, KS 66608
