Constance Mize
Constance Leone Mize, 76, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center. She was born on April 22, 1932 in Abilene, KS to Raymond and Geneva Schad.
On April 5, 1953 she married Ted R. Mize at First Lutheran Church in Topeka by Pastor Ernst Tonsing. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Daughter of the Colonists.
She is survived by her husband, Ted R. Mize; her children, Bruce A. Mize of Arizona; Dianne M. Reed of Topeka; and Dennis M. Mize of Topeka; three grandchildren, Valyant Reed, Crystal Reed, and Karen Mize all of Topeka.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. She will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Visitation will be on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 725 SW Buchanan, Topeka, KS 66606.
