Constance A. "Connie" Williams, 87, of Topeka, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016.
She was born July 23, 1928, in Wichita, the daughter of Gracia J. (Case) and Arthur O. Davis. She graduated from Washburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. Connie worked for many years as an elementary school teacher for USD 501 in Topeka. After retirement, she also taught adult literacy classes in Topeka.
She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church in Topeka, where she was involved with several women's organizations.
Connie married Jim Williams on November 22, 1947 at Bethany Methodist Church in Wichita, KS. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2013.
She leaves behind a loving family including four children, Jan (Wayne), Anne (David), Reid (Janelle) and Kristin (Joe); 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and her brother, Robert (Nan) Davis of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral ceremony will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 at Highland Park United Methodist Church, 2914 S. E. Michigan, Topeka. Interment will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery in Topeka.
