Connie Strole
Connie Strole, 75, of Topeka, passed away, Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital.
Connie was born December 11, 1933 in Denison, KS the son of Vernon and Pauline Cline Strole. He attended schools in Denison and Valley Falls.
Mr. Strole served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Germany.
He was a route salesman for over 35 years. He worked primarily with Guys Foods and later owned an Archway Cookie Distributorship.
Connie married Rosemary Brown September 6, 1958 in Valley Falls. She survives. Other survivors include his son, Kevin (Julie) Strole; his daughter, Kristen Strole; his brother, Merle Strole; his sister, Peggy Wichman; his aunt, Izora Petree; and three grandchildren, Jacob, Jonan, and Sarah Strole.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Mr. Strole will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the National Kidney Foundation of KS and Western MO, 6405 Metcalf Ave., Suite 204, Westwood, KS 66205 or to the organization of the donor's choice.
