Connie Lee Orr, born in Topeka in 1947 to John and Dorisbel Jackson, was a true red head with a feisty personality to match. She died at home on December 29th.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years Jim Orr and two daughters Jennifer (Dan) Bolan of Austin, TX and Jamie Orr-Taylor of Mesquite, TX. Her family includes two sisters, Ann Crawford of Topeka, KS and Sue Bernatis of Mesa, CO. She was blessed with six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and eight nieces and nephews.
She loved sewing, reading, quilting, the great outdoors, and NASCAR. Mrs. Orr was a successful commercial artist before working thirty plus years at Frito Lay in Topeka.
Visitation will be held on Friday 2nd January at 10am at the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St., Topeka, followed by a funeral service at 11am at the same location. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society of Topeka.
