Connie L. Hilyard Davenport

Connie L. Hilyard Davenport, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2006 at a Topeka hospital. She was born the daughter of Woodrow Dale and Ima Murphy Hilyard. She graduated from Topeka High School and lived most of her life in Topeka. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Survivors include one son, Brian K. Davenport and his wife, Amy of Lee's Summit, MO, one granddaughter, Isabella, one brother, Terry Hilyard and his wife, Ginnie of Overland Park, and her companion Paul Kush of Topeka. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Connie will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
