Connie L. Charest

Connie L. Charest, 58, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007 at a Topeka hospital. She was born on January 12, 1949 in Topeka, the daughter of Charles and Eduarda Escobedo Weidenbaker. She was a life long Topeka resident. She graduated from Hayden High School and graduated from Emporia State University where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business. She was employed by the Colmery O'Neil VA Medical Center for 28 years. Connie married Thomas A. Charest on August 21, 1971 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include one son, Aaron M. Charest of Topeka, her mother, Eduarda Weidenbaker of Topeka, one granddaughter, Ainsley and one brother, Kevin Weidenbaker of Topeka. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
